This two-day course is designed for those starting out on their journey as a Board developer, as well as anyone who might be involved in administering a Board environment or providing the interface between Board and external data sources.

Timezone: GMT

Price: £1,000 per delegate

Delegates will learn the fundamental building blocks of a Board data model. The use and configuration of Entities, Relationships, Cubes and Rules are covered in depth, as well as the process of loading data from a variety of sources such as SQL databases and text files. Delegates will help brainstorm how the data model might look after analysing a sample data set, getting insight into the common considerations when designing the back-end of a Board application. The course also covers performance tuning and an introduction to the Board security model. By the end, delegates will have built their own data model from scratch, populated it with data and built some simple validation reports.
