Hi, my name is Christoph Petzke.

I am Manager Sales & Operations Planning at Aurubis and in

this area, I am responsible for production and delivery planning for

finished copper products. We have been actively using Board since

2020, meaning in our production environment.

We started with the initial ideas and concept development in

2019. Today, we use Board in S&OP

for inventory planning, forecasting,

customer deliveries

and, accordingly, production planning.

[We introduced the] initial machine learning forecast two years ago

on an annual basis, broken down by month, meaning a proportional

distribution of our total annual volume by customer and material.

This year, we introduced the second stage, with a machine

learning rolling forecast that is updated weekly with the

year-to-date actuals and then

adjusts the forecasts for the coming months, which we have now

also transferred into customer clusters.

For our planning management, it was very helpful that we could connect the order

book from SAP.

This meant that we could supplement our forecast with

actual existing orders and use this to determine more accurately

what we can still commit to customers given our limited inventory,

and what we cannot. We implemented this very effectively together with our

Customer Service colleagues, used it extensively and were able to

coordinate with each other much more quickly.

If I have an idea and need some new functionality,

“Celver, please take care of that,” they already know what else needs to

be taken into account and

they know our requirements and preferences very well, so they come back with

concrete results that are already very close to what we need. We don't

have to constantly go back and start over, which would create

additional work. On the other hand, Board clearly

provides the functionality and capability for

data consolidation, digitally available at all times.

Everyone always sees the same figures, so transparency is key.

That is my clear recommendation for Board when it comes to

supporting an integrated supply chain process.
