Known Issues and Limitations

  • Some headings are empty (contain no text). We are working to remove or populate these so the heading structure remains meaningful.
  • Some links within cards that promote our resources do not have a discernible name. We are working to give these links clear, descriptive names.
  • Some buttons do not have a discernible accessible name, which prevents screen-reader users from understanding their purpose. We are working to give these controls descriptive names.
  • On some controls the visible label does not match the underlying accessible name, which can affect users of speech-input tools. We are working to align the two.
  • Some elements use ARIA roles without the required parent or child structure, which can affect how they are interpreted by assistive technologies. We are working to correct this.
  • A small number of pages do not have sufficiently descriptive page titles. We are working to update these so each page is clearly identifiable.

Third-Party Content and Functionality

We may make use of third-party tools and/or resources that embed content on our website. Wherever possible we will ensure these are conformant with the applicable guidelines and do not impede the accessibility of the website.

Compliance and Monitoring Approach

We regularly review our website and content to ensure ongoing compliance with the European Accessibility Act (EAA), particularly relevant for users within the European Union. Our reviews are conducted using a combination of manual checks and automated scans by tools including Google Lighthouse and Siteimprove.

Siteimprove enables us to continuously monitor the website for accessibility issues, track progress over time, and prioritize fixes in line with WCAG 2.1 Level AA requirements.
