With the introduction of Board, we are creating a unified and reliable foundation for our planning and management processes. It is particularly important for us to efficiently coordinate decentralized planning processes, reduce manual consolidation, and at the same time ensure transparency across all entities.
The Challenge: Overcoming Fragmented Planning Processes
With Board’s Enterprise Planning Platform, Messe Berlin creates a central FP&A hub, integrating it with existing systems such as SAP to accelerate its financial planning and corporate performance management. The goal is to replace the previously highly Excel-based processes and establish an efficient and transparent planning environment. The Board platform combines planning, analysis, and reporting and enables consistent steering across all entities.
The Solution: One Hub for Integrated, Transparent Financial Planning
The implementation is carried out together with Board partner H&Z. In a first phase, key use cases such as budgeting, monthly forecasts, and multi-year strategic planning are implemented. This is complemented by integrated financial planning (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow), management reporting, and KPI analysis.
In addition, the platform enables decentralized planning processes within business units while ensuring central consolidation in controlling. Scenario analyses and simulations support well-founded decision-making and strengthen the company’s ability to steer its business.
