  1. If I think about the role of Excel plus

  2. AI and/or AI going forward, I

  3. think there's definitely a place where they are today, and they will

  4. continue to add tremendous value.

  5. And we talked about the scenario planning, accelerating some

  6. usage. I don't see it really replacing

  7. systems of record, core EPM platforms.

  8. I think it's really a complementary strategy.

  9. Let's assume for a minute I could go and create

  10. everything that I have

  11. today in Board in an AI model. First of all, is that the

  12. best way for me to go spend my time or my team's time?

  13. Do I really trust, again, that it's going to give me the consistent answers that I

  14. need

  15. time after time? I'm not sure.

  16. Who's going to maintain that? What happens if there are assumptions that are not

  17. correct in there?

  18. Again, go back to scalability. The scalability of relying on something

  19. like that to really run the business makes me very nervous, and it just

  20. doesn't seem like it's very practical.

  21. But again, I don't think it's an all or nothing.

  22. I think there's a lot of complementary ways that

  23. AI will help. And Excel. And I think the combination

  24. of AI within Excel. We use ChatGPT integrated into

  25. Excel. I think it's super powerful.

  26. It's a tool

  27. for the analysts who really understand the business to combine

  28. that business knowledge with

  29. an accelerator, but also it allows me to have some

  30. governance over the entire structure as we go

  31. forward. That maintainability, that scalability, I feel like

  32. is in a much better place with that combination.

  33. So I would say the goal is not fewer spreadsheets.

  34. They're not going away. I know I would certainly be concerned if someone tried to

  35. take away my Excel. I think the real goal is how do we

  36. have governed spreadsheets that are connected to your EPM

  37. platform? I think that's really the future.

  38. For us, the Board for Microsoft 365 capability really makes this a

  39. reality.
