Shaping the Future of Planning with Agentic AI – Board Beyond 2026 in Frankfurt

– Event shows how AI-powered planning is becoming a strategic management tool

– BASF and TEDi share insights into how they address real-world planning challenges

Frankfurt am Main, Germany, April 22, 2026 – Corporate planning is undergoing a fundamental shift. Artificial intelligence is evolving from an analytical tool into an active part of decision-making. How AI agents are reshaping planning, the role of external data and automated decision logic will be at the center of Board Beyond 2026, taking place on May 11 & 12 at Union Halle in Frankfurt.

Board Beyond brings together users, analysts, and experts from finance, supply chain, HR, and IT to discuss current developments in the field of integrated enterprise planning. The focus is on how planning is evolving from retrospective reporting to a continuous, forward-looking management approach.

The event will kick off with an evening pre-event focused on exchange and networking with peers, Board partners, and the Board team. Under the title “Driving Transformation – Leadership in Turbulent Times,” transformation expert and author Reza Razavi will use practical examples to demonstrate how organizations can safeguard their core business while successfully driving change. This will be followed by the Board Customer Awards, recognizing outstanding customers in the categories “Rising Star,” “World Class Transformation,” “Long Term Achievement,” and “Innovation & Business Impact.”

The second day will also begin with a key highlight: Jeff Casale, CEO of Board and Michelle Green, Chief Economist at Board will present how corporate planning evolves along clearly defined maturity stages toward agentic planning. They will explain how AI agents more closely connect financial, strategic, and operational planning. They will also show how Continuous Planning and the integration of external data significantly increase confidence in every decision made.

Real-world examples will be provided by Board customers, including BASF Agricultural Solutions, offering insights into how a new incentive management system built on Board increases transparency and improves commercial decision-making in highly complex environments. Board customer TEDi will highlight how their integrated financial planning solution was successfully implemented within four months, enabling the modeling of complex retail environments. And Dehner will provide insights into its decision-making process for a new CPM solution – from the specific triggers and key evaluation criteria through to the final selection.

In a panel discussion, representatives from Board partners bdg, celver, and PwC, together with users, will discuss when continuous planning truly becomes agentic. The focus will be on the practical requirements needed to ensure that planning is not only integrated and forward-looking, but also actively supportive, adaptive, and decision-oriented.

Dr. Christian Fuchs, Senior Analyst at BARC, provides an analytical perspective. Based on recent BARC research, he explains why rigid annual planning reaches its limits in volatile environments and where companies stand today in their use of AI.

The event is aimed at professionals and executives in the fields of corporate management, controlling, financial and operational planning, and analytics. Representatives from the trade and business press are also invited to learn about current developments in the areas of analytical AI, generative AI, and integrated planning, and to explore concrete real-world examples.

Today, companies need to make decisions faster and with greater confidence than ever before,” says Björn M. Stauss, General Manager DACH at Board. “At Board Beyond, we’ll show how modern planning systems help reduce uncertainty and make decisions more reliable.”

As part of the sponsor exhibition, attendees can explore the portfolio of Board partners bdg, celver, and PwC who are supporting Board Beyond as Platinum sponsors, while H&Z.digital, linkFISH, and solution designers are participating as Gold sponsors.
