Tuesday, 14 April 2020 - Chiasso, Switzerland and Boston, US

The additional attestations provide increased security and availability assurance to Board’s cloud customers.

Board International, a leading provider of Business Intelligence (BI), Corporate Performance Management (CPM), and predictive analytics software, has today announced its successful acquisition of two additional System and Organization Controls (SOC) compliance reports, SOC 2® and SOC 3®.

In order to pass the SOC examinations, Board International underwent an extensive audit which assessed the controls and processes in place to address the risks associated with an outsourced service.

In the case of SOC 2, regarded as the most sought-after report, companies can be measured against five Trust Principles: Privacy, Confidentiality, Processing Integrity, Availability, and Security. Board was measured against two principles - Security and Availability.

Pietro Ferrari, Chief Technology Officer at Board International, states,

“Our investment in security and compliance is more than important to us. In order to be the best at what we do, we must do everything in our power to maximize the availability and security of our solutions and ensure their compliance with worldwide standards. Attaining SOC reports is one way to demonstrate this. The audit process is rigorous, so achieving SOC 1, SOC 2, and SOC 3 is indicative of our commitment to our customers. On behalf of the Board team, I am very proud we’ve been granted all three”

SOC reports are awarded to organizations to provide industry-wide recognition of conformity to stringent security standards, as set by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA)

The requirements and security measures for Board Cloud are constantly monitored, evaluated, and updated to reflect changing needs and potential threats that may arise.

Furthermore, Board also maintains ISO 27001 certification which recognizes its ongoing commitment to strict information security management protocols.

More information, along with Board’s SOC 1, SOC 2, SOC 3 reports, and ISO 27001 certificate, is available on the Board website at https://www.board.com/en/governance-and-compliance.
