Thursday, 07 December 2017 - Chiasso - Switzerland

Migros Ticino, a subsidiary of the Swiss group leader in the retail sector Migros - selected the Board Decision-Making platform to unify analysis and reporting processes across the company’s Finance, Sales and Operations departments.

Board International, the world’s leading supplier of decision-making software, announced today that Migros Ticino chose Board to perform business analysis functions in the company’s Finance and Operations areas, as well as reporting and dashboarding activities for their Sales team, up to the single product category.

The Migros supermarket chain is the largest in Switzerland and the largest group in the Swiss retail sector. Always committed to maintaining the right balance between business and social needs, the Migros brand guarantees quality.

"As in the intentions of our founder, Gottlieb Duttweiler, we are traditionally committed to offer our customers the best value for money, aiming at maintaining a sustainable and profitable value chain at the same time. To this end, Board will be used as one of the main solutions to meet the key analysis and reporting needs of a variety of data as wide as the diversity of our products and services," says Pierpaolo Born, CFO at Migros Ticino.

Thanks to the Board platform, Migros Ticino can analyze their data and translate them into significant actions. To date, Board is used at the top management level, and will be extended to the executive areas of the various supermarkets in the future. Later, Board will also be adopted as a financial budgeting & planning solution, exploiting one of the strengths of our software: the combination of BI and CPM in a single environment,” says Sven Winter, Country Manager Switzerland at Board International.

The Migros Ticino Business Units operate both with a certain autonomy - as far as possible - and in synergy with each other. Within this complex organizational structure, Board will help Migros Ticino to obtain full visibility into financial and operational activities to improve the supply chain control.

"We are particularly excited to count the Migros Ticino group among our customers, sharing moreover the common Swiss origin. Board will be a "One Stop Shop" for the company to make flexible and meaningful decisions based on advanced analytical skills,” emphasizes Fabio Lovesio, Head of Retail Industry at Board International.
