Board International, the #1 decision making platform for organizations of any size, is excited to announce that its customer City of Fayetteville, NC was ranked the #1 most innovative city in the US in 2018 by Governing and the nonprofit Living Cities. The City competed against 74 other highly recognized cities and was recognized for their Board-powered TRACStat (Transparent Reporting and Analytics for Citizens) system which enables them to focus on performance data and improve their government programming. Neubrain, a Board partner, designed and implemented TRACStat for the City. Neubrain has a 15-year track record of successfully deploying public sector performance management and budgeting solutions.
“[TRACTStat] elevates the City of Fayetteville to a position of leadership among municipalities developing a data-driven culture for local government, continuous improvement and effective community engagement strategies,” said Interim City Manager, Doug Hewett.
The City of Fayetteville began designing their performance management program, TRACStat, in 2014. At the time it was maintained via a series of Excel spreadsheets, which was a labor-intensive process. After conducting a year-long search for a robust software system that they could use as a platform for TRACStat, the city chose the Corporate Performance Management (CPM)/analytics/Business Intelligence platform from Board. Now that TRACStat is managed using Board’s multi-dimensional database, the city can deliver contextual performance data to both internal and external stakeholders.
“Transparent and reliable reporting models, such as TRACStat, serve to promote accountability, enhance the effectiveness of government services to its citizens, and increase the public’s confidence in their government. We share a duty to ensure that the actions of public officials, employees, contractors, and volunteers of the City are carried out in the most responsible manner possible and that city policy, budgets, goals, and objectives are fully implemented.” Said Rebecca Jackson Strategy and Performance Analytics Director.
“We are so excited for the City of Fayetteville on their recent recognition,” said Gareth Giles Knopp, Manager Director, Board Americas. “Our team enjoys working with the City and is honored that Board can provide them with a platform for innovative and successful performance reporting. We look forward to seeing what else the City will achieve in the future.”
