Norway-based utility provider Agder Energi has selected Board to overhaul its Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) activities.

The unified decision-making platform will provide a more flexible, integrated, self-service approach to consolidation, reporting, risk management and planning.

Norway-based utility provider Agder Energi has selected Board, the unified Decision-Making Platform, to overhaul its Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) activities.

Agder Energi is a hydro production and distribution company which produces a total of ~8,2 GWh hydro power from 49 power stations, with a team of 1,200 employees. The company’s legacy reporting and performance management solution lacked an integrated approach and was no longer able to meet developing business needs. With no Cloud capabilities, a dependence on suppliers to make minor adjustments to the system, and the need for users to switch between different software packages which lacked proper integration, Agder Energi sought a more flexible and responsive approach.

Combining planning and reporting capabilities, Board’s cloud-based platform will replace Agder Energi’s legacy consolidation and BI environment, managing the end-to-end reporting and planning process and providing seamless integration between the financial and strategic functions. Board will enable the business to conduct financial consolidation and elimination, internal and external financial reporting, strategic planning and forecasting, scorecarding, risk, capital and portfolio management, and analysis in one user-friendly, self-service interface.

We’re delighted to be partnering with Agder Energi to transform their reporting and performance management activities,” says Gavin Fallon, General Manager for the UK, Nordics, and South Africa at Board. “In addition to providing greater visibility in the processes for all those involved, the project will also greatly increase efficiency by removing time-consuming manual processes, enabling faster, more effective decision-making.

"Board proved to be the better provider of a truly integrated platform for all of our EPM activities, enabling us to make a huge improvement in our reporting and governance processes as well as our business insight capabilities", says CFO of Agder Energi, Pernille K. Gulowsen
