The latest issue of The Planning Survey by BARC, with over 1,200 people polled worldwide, has revealed that Board International is the best choice in the peer group “global vendors” with regard to planning functionality. Thanks to its ease of use and high degree of customization, organizations using Board find their business needs fulfilled and 91% are recommending Board to other companies.

With 26 leading positions in the BARC Planning Survey 16, Board proved its strength in high importance categories for every planning project surveyed. Being top ranked or leading in the peer groups ”global vendors” and “development-oriented planning solutions” in terms of planning functionality, reporting/analysis functionality, flexibility, and self-service, analyst firm BARC found Board to be the tool most often considered for purchase among the “performance management specialists”.

One software unifies planning, analysis, reporting, and analytics
Board’s guiding philosophy is to provide a unified approach that merges diverse functions for corporate management in one software platform. “Users appreciate the All-in-One approach where planning, reporting, analysis, and analytics are closely linked in a single consistent, integrated environment to ensure confident decision making. Other planning products like SAP BPC, Oracle Hyperion Planning and Anaplan can’t provide these comprehensive BI functionalities and lack the look behind,” explains Board International CEO Giovanni Grossi. “In our view, having reporting, analysis and planning in one single environment is more beneficial than using a combination of several products for decision makers to paint the whole picture,” explains Christian Fuchs, Senior Analyst at BARC.

Software designed for business users
Board has always focused on a user-friendly approach for people in business departments. Thereby, business power users can perform various planning and BI tasks without support from IT. Self-service capabilities are one of the main reasons why organizations choose Board. Along with its functionality and flexibility, Board allows them to implement fully customized solutions based on individual business needs. “Looking also at consistent high ratings in customer satisfaction and vendor support for many years in a row, Board is a vendor and a tool with a high level of quality in supporting its customers to achieve their goals,” confirms Christian Fuchs.
